xBDK Parfums Rouge Smoking Extrait de Parfum is the 2024 extrait version of BDK's cherry-and-vanilla Rouge Smoking, composed by Amélie Bourgeois and Margaux Le Paih-Guérin. This sample spray is the easiest way to try the richer, darker extrait before committing to the 100 ml bottle.
It opens with Royal Ann cherry, almond and red mandarin, lifted by pink pepper, bergamot and elemi. A creamy milk accord, tonka bean, labdanum and Peru balsam form the heart, and the base layers vanilla absolute, saffron, rum, benzoin, patchouli, amberwood and a touch of Thai oud. The result is sweet, spicy and lightly smoky, like cherry liqueur poured over warm vanilla.
