Zero Percent Ambergris in this
I am a sucker for descriptions that add ambergris, and have been taken for a ride a few times now. I bought one that was actually called Amber and it didn't smell like amber at all ($26). Second was this Sauvage ($50), and it is also absent of any amber scent, although I spray it around the tv room couch before leaving for work and when I get home the room smells ok, not great and not amber. (Sauvage fans, I don't know what experiences you people are having with this, but I can only say it isn't because of the amber scent.) The third was one that said amber in the base note, and no way, that should be the scent you smell when it has faded all day, and I can tell you all it wasn't amber. I'm just here to say buyer beware on any fragrance that claims ambergris as a base note.
