xRoom 1015 Purple Mantra Eau de Parfum takes the Parisian house's rock-and-roll sensibility into quieter, more meditative territory, building a hazy aromatic-resinous scent around herbs, iris and incense. Released in 2022 and composed by Serge de Oliveira, it feels vintage and slightly hallucinatory without ever turning loud.
It opens with cool Lavender lit by a snap of Pink Pepper and the airy sweetness of Freesia. The heart turns herbal and powdery as Clary Sage and Marjoram wrap around Iris, with White Flowers softening the edges into something cosmetic and dreamlike. The dry-down is where the fragrance settles into its mantra: Frankincense and Myrrh curl up smoky and balsamic, while Ambroxan and Musk keep everything warm, mineral and close to the skin.
This suits anyone drawn to incense and herbs with a powdery, unisex edge, and it reads equally well on men and women. Wear it for evenings out, cool-weather weekends, or a date night. Expect roughly seven to eight hours of wear with moderate projection early, then a soft, skin-warm trail.
